§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the timetable for the remaining procedures for settling the London rate equalisation scheme for 1976–77.
§ Mr. John SilkinI am awaiting the views of the London Boroughs Association. My right hon. Friend will announce his decision when these have been received and the consultations required by statute have been completed. I cannot say how soon this will be, but I am conscious of the need for this issue to be settled in good time for the London local authorities to fix their rates for 1976–77.
