Mr. Alan WilliamsOrders have recently been made requiring prices, or where appropriate the unit price, to be indicated for all fresh fruit and vegetables and for drinks offered or exposed for sale for consumption on licensed premises; these orders are already in force. Proposals will shortly be circulated for unit pricing to be applied to cheese and milk from vending machines and to be widely extended to prepacked frozen fish and to most types of wet fish. A pilot scheme for the unit pricing of fresh meat has been in operation since 1st October.
