§ Dr. GilbertOn expenditure incurred up to 31st March 1975, this Department contributes 25 per cent., the Greater London Council 25 per cent., and London Transport 50 per cent. Under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1974, responsibility for the scheme was transferred to the Greater London Council from 1st April 1975. Estimated expenditure by the Council as from that date qualifies for transport supplementary grant at a rate of 70 per cent.
