§ Mr. Charles R. MorrisThe Government see no case for departing from the "pay as you go" basis which governs most public service pension schemes within the public sector. If these schemes were to be funded the total fund required would, amongst other factors, depend upon the actuarial assumptions made at the time about long-term rates of inflation and interest rates.
