asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he will make a further statement about the Chrysler situation.

asked the Secretary of State for Industry when he next intends to meet representatives of Chrysler United Kingdom Ltd.

Mr. Varley

Discussions are continuing with the Chrysler Corporation. I am very much aware of the anxiety caused by the present uncertainty. It is my intention to make an announcement as quickly as is consistent with a thorough examination of all aspects of the problem.

31. Mr. Viggers

asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he has plans to visit any of the factories of Chrysler-United Kingdom Ltd. for further discussions about the future of the company.

Mr. Varley

I have no present plans to visit any Chrysler factory, but I would not rule out the possibility if it seemed appropriate to do so. I met unions representing Chrysler workers on 27th November 1975.

asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he will make a statement on his discussions with the Chrysler Corporation.
