HC Deb 04 December 1975 vol 901 c729W
Mrs. Chalker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether it is her policy to carry out the structure changes accepted in the overall plan for the reorganisation of the health service.

Dr. Owen

As my right hon. Friend told the House during the debate on the National Health Service on 27th October, our policy is not to make any sudden drastic change in the structure of the reorganised NHS in England which we inherited from our predecessors but to work out with the service how a better system might evolve.—[Vol. 898, c. 1054.]
