HC Deb 04 December 1975 vol 901 cc740-2W
Mr. Geraint Howells

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many gallons of cream have been imported into Wales from Eire during the last six months: and if he will make a statement.

Mr. John Morris

Available figures relate to the United Kingdom as a whole and not to Wales alone. 1,140 tons of fresh cream equivalent to 2 per cent. of home production were imported into the United Kingdom between April and September 30, the last six month period for which information is to hand. This compares with 1,756 tons for the same period in 1974, which was equivalent to 3 per cent. of home production.
