§ Mr. Reidasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is satisfied with the progress being made in the provision of sheltered housing schemes in Scotland.
§ Mr. William RossProvision still falls short of the interim target figure of 25 sheltered housing places for every 1,000 people aged 65 or over, at which local authorities were asked to aim in a Circular issued by the Scottish Development Department in March 1972. I am, however, encouraged by signs of a growing awareness among housing authorities of the need to increase the stock of sheltered housing.
