§ Dr. John A. Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the employment situation for school leavers in the Whitehaven, Cleator Moor and Millom exchange areas.
§ Mr. John FraserOn 13th November 1975, 94 school leavers were registered as unemployed in the Whitehaven, Cleator Moor and Millom area. The situation has improved considerably since August, when the number unemployed was 415. I confidently expect that this improvement will be maintained as a result of the Government's special measures for assisting school leavers and young people generally.
