§ Mr. MeacherThe average total amount paid in national insurance contributions in 1974–75 by each insured adult male was about £125; and on the same assumptions as in the Government Actuary's Report on the Social Security Benefits Uprating Order, 1975 [Cmnd 6083] the estimate for 1975–76 is about £145. These contributions include the amounts for the National Health Service and, for 1974–75, they include the separate industrial injuries contribution.
