HC Deb 07 August 1975 vol 897 c477W
Mr. Ovenden

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what would be the cost of abolishing the six-day suspension rule in respect of employees whose employment is temporarily suspended.

Mr. Meacher

A considerable number of assumptions have to be made to arrive at an estimate such as my hon. Friend asks for; but the cost might be of the order of £2 million in a full year.
