§ Mr. Hayhoeasked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) what information about Concorde other than the noise measurements made of its movements in and out of Heathrow he is refusing to publish at this time; (2) what level of secrecy or confidentiality he ascribes to the results of noise measurements made of Concorde's recent movements in and out 525W of Heathrow; (3) if he will list the occasions during the last 10 years when the Government have refused to publish the results of monitored noise measurements of aircraft landing or taking off at Heathrow other than for Concorde during recent weeks.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisNormal practice is for the results of regular noise monitoring at Heathrow to be made publicly available as soon as possible. However, special monitoring arrangements have been made in respect of Concorde during its current endurance flying programme, and, as already announced, the results will be published on completion of that programme. Until that time, the results are being accorded restricted status. With regard to the negotiation of routes for Concorde, for which the Department also has responsibilities, international discussions are being held, but while they are proceeding it is not desirable to specify details.
