§ Mr. John FraserNo. I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that the Trades Union Congress and individual trade unions are aware of the problem of late-age entrants to apprenticeships. Various trade unions have substantially modified their policies in recent years. The Training Services Agency in liaison with the Careers Service will continue to discuss individual cases of local difficulty with appropriate apprenticeship councils and /or trade unions.
