HL Deb 06 August 1975 vol 363 c1829WA
Lord BRAYE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in view of the great interest taken by visitors from both home and abroad in the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon, directional road signs could be placed permanently in the vicinity of the Museum, which at present is extremely difficult to locate; and whether any objection to this by the local authorities could be overruled.

The PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY of STATE, DEPARTMENT of the ENVIRONMENT (Baroness Birk)

Signs exist on the A.1/A.41 at Fiveways Corner roundabout and on the Northbound carriageway of the A.5 by Colindale Avenue. Agreement has been reached with the local authority for additional signing on the Southbound carriageway of the A.1/A.41 at Fiveways Corner, on the A.41 near its junctions with Aerodrome road and the Burroughs and on the Southbound carriageway of the A.5 at Colindale Avenue. These signs will be installed shortly.
