§ Mr. Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish in the most convenient table form the number of men, women and young people registered as unemployed at each of the employment offices throught the Greater London Council area on the latest day for which figures are available, and compare it with 1970 and 1974, together with notified vacancies.
§ Mr. John FraserThe following tables shows the information available. The vacancy statistics relate only to vacancies notified to employment offices and careers offices and are not a measure of total vacancies. For July 1974 and July 1975, the vacancies notified to employment offices are mainly for adults aged 18 and over, but include some vacancies for persons aged under 18. Vacancies notified to careers offices are mainly for boys and girls aged under 18, but include some suitable for adults. Because of possible duplication the figures for employment offices and careers offices should not be added together.
