§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) whether he intends to bring in legislation to enable the British Gas Corporation to repudiate its long-term contracts for the sale of gas to those companies under which losses have been sustained by the corporation;
(2) whether he proposes to introduce general legislation to deal with the unilateral alteration of contractual terms of commercial agreements covering fixed price contracts and their duration;
(3) when he proposes to set up his review into the effects of fixed price contracts and their duration; and whether it is intended that the review should cover areas beyond the fuel industries.
