§ Mr. Weetchasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, in view of the importance of a future Ipswich bypass in furthering trade with Europe, through the Haven Ports, he will apply for an EEC grant to aid construction, with money provided under current or future regional arrangements.
§ Dr. GilbertGrants under the EEC Regional Development Fund are available only to assisted areas. The Ipswich Bypass would not therefore be eligible.
