§ Dr. GilbertMy right hon. Friend was unable to extend relief from VAT in his recent Budget, but in January of this year, following representations from the industry, the import duty was removed from imported bloodstock, other than geldings. Consideration is now being given to the need to extend the temporary importation arrangements for bloodstock.
