HL Deb 29 April 1975 vol 359 cc1241-2WA
Viscount BROOKEBOROUGH

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Why it is considered reasonable for Harbour Authorities in Great Britain to provide adequate electric power points on the quayside for electric welding and battery charging for the fishing fleet, whilst no such facilities exist at Portavogie; and whether they will so equip Portavogie.

The PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE, NORTHERN IRELAND OFFICE (Lord Donaldson of Kingsbridge)

This is a matter for the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority, which is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of Portavogie harbour. The question of providing adequate electricity power points at the harbour has already been brought to the Authority's attention.

House adjourned at thirteen minutes past five o'clock.
