§ Mr. Weetchasked the Attorney-General what progress is being made towards covering England and Wales by the extention of the system of registered title; and what proportion of the two countries is at present covered by compulsory registration.
§ The Attorney-GeneralAn Order-in-Council made last February will extend the system of compulsory registration of title by stages on 1st June and 1st December this year, to areas comprising about 8 per cent. of the total population of England and Wales. The system at present covers areas comprising about 57 per cent. of the population.
