§ Mr. Ernest G. Perryasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the specifications of the Property Services Agency for its bulk purchases for the current financial year 1975–76 insist on consultant and house architects specifying Swedish doors, door frames and hinges.
§ Mr. KaufmanDoors, frames, and hinges made by the United Kingdom subsidiary of a Swedish firm—Swedoors—are at present normally specified by the Property Services Agency and its consultants under a method of building agreement. Agreements were entered into with two British firms also to supply doorsets to the PSA's specification, but they later withdrew. The present agreement expires at the end of 1975 and the PSA has been out to competitive tender again recently.
