§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many jobs are currently provided by Enterprise Ulster, urban and rural renewal schemes, and Operation Clean-up in Bangor, Newtownards, Comber, Hollywood, Hillsborough, Saintfield, Ballygowan and Donaghadee.
§ Mr. OrmeEnterprise Ulster currently provides 23 jobs in Bangor, 37 in Newtownards, and none in the other towns named. Information on urban and rural improvement schemes—URIC—and on Operation Spruce-Up cannot be given in the form requested. URIC currently provides 53 jobs in the North Down area. A total of 78 men are employed in Operation Spruce-Up in the following district council areas: North Down (8), Newtownards (12), Lisburn (5), and Down (53).
