§ Mr. Whitlockasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what sum of money was allocated to the Trent Regional Health Authority in the 1975–76 capital programme; and how much of that sum is for office accommodation at the authority's headquarters.
§ Dr. OwenTotal capital expenditure in the Trent Region in 1975–76 is estimated to be £35.1 million. None of this has been allocated specifically for office accommodation. The selection of schemes costing less than £350,000 is a matter for the regional health authority. The authority recently started a scheme to alleviate overcrowding in its headquarters which it expects to complete in 1975–76 at a cost in that year of £53,000. It has not yet decided its programme of new starts for 1975–76.
