HL Deb 19 April 1975 vol 360 c1179WA
Lord TREFGARNE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What increases are proposed in the fees for the issue and renewal of professional aircrew licences; when the increases are to come into force; and what Parliamentary procedure will be required.

Lord BESWICK

The Civil Aviation Authority has announced that it is consulting the appropriate representative organisations on proposals to increase fees for the issue and renewal of flight crew licences and other related services. Formal proposals have not yet been put to the Secretary of State. Any change in the scale of fees would require the repeal of the current charges in the Civil Aviation Authority (Charges) Regulations 1972. This repeal would be effected by statutory instrument subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
