§ 31. Mr. Alan Clarkasked the Secretary of State for Defence what plans the RAF has to dispose of its surplus Nimrod aircraft by sale to outside interests.
§ Mr. JohnThere is at present no surplus of Nimrods. It is, therefore, premature to consider an early sale of these aircraft. If, as a result of decisions about the future use of these aircraft, any become surplus to RAF requirements the method of their disposal, including the possibility of a sale, will be given careful consideration.
