Mr. Hardy

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what volume of deep-mined coal was produced in Great Britain during March.

Mr. Eadie

The output of deep-mined coal in Great Britain for the five weeks ending 29th March was 12,842,000 tons.

Mr. Hardy

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what are the quantities of coal produced in February and in March 1975 and in the same months of 1973.

Mr. Eadie

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 7th April1975; Vol. 889, c. 332], gave the following information:
