Mr. Gow

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when the Governor of the Falkland Islands expects to receive the report of the Select Committee appointed by him in January 1974 to ascertain the views of the electorate on possible changes in the constitution of the Falkland Islands and to make recommendations on the form such changes might take.

Mr. Ennals

The Select Committee has recently submitted its report and the Falkland Islands' Legislative Council is due to consider it in the first week of June.
