HC Deb 28 November 1974 vol 882 cc208-9W
32. Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Eire Government concerning the use of their territory for launching attacks on Northern Ireland.

Mr. Hattersley

We have been in close and regular contact with the Government of the Irish Republic about the problem of IRA attacks across the border and the measures necessary to prevent them. As my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department told the House on Monday, we are now urgently seeking further discussions in the light of the most recent developments.
