HC Deb 28 November 1974 vol 882 c227W
Mr. Whitehead

asked the Attorney-General whether he has now completed his inquiries into those aspects of the Lennon case which fell within his responsibility.

The Attorney-General

I have considered those matters which fall within my responsibilities in this case. These are the parts played by the Department of the Director of Public Prosecutions and by counsel for the prosecution. I have personally interviewed leading counsel for the prosecution and defence and others, and have called for and received written statements and other relevant documents.

Having concluded my inquiries and carefully considered the material produced by them I am satisfied that there was no impropriety on the part of any of those for whose conduct I am responsible.
