§ Mr. Sydney Irvingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what proposals he has for assisting local authorities financially in the establishment of plant for the reclamation, handling and treatment of waste mataerials.
§ Mr. OakesExpenditure on waste collection and disposal, including reclamation policy, will be taken account of in the rate support grant settlement and in the amount allocated to the locally determined sector. I intend that the proposed Waste Management Advisory Council should have regard to the opportunities for stimulating the reclamation of waste materials for reuse as part of its overall advisory role in determining waste management policies in the future.
