asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he has received any request for a British contribution to the United Nations forces stationed between Israel and Syria, and Israel and Egypt.

Mr. Ennals

Security Council Resolution 340 stipulated that the UN Emergency Force in Sinai should not include forces from the Permanent Members of the Security Council. The UN Disengagement Observer Force was established on the same basis. But Her Majesty's Government make a large financial contribution to both forces.
