HC Deb 26 November 1974 vol 882 c126W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy, as he spends £43,000 per annum for heating the Palace of Westminster and associated buildings, if he will reduce the temperature by five degrees to set a national example in conservation.

Mr. Edward Short

I have been asked to reply.

I shall consider the hon. Member's suggestion in consultation with the appropriate authorities of both Houses to see what economies can be introduced without causing undue hardship.
