§ 24. Colonel Sir Harwood Harrisonasked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he can now state when the contract for Sizewell B will be placed and the date upon which work will start.
§ Mr. EadieThe CEGB has applied for consent and deemed planning permission to build an SGHWR station at Sizewell, and this is being considered. Design and development work on the SGHWR programme is being energetically pursued. At this stage I would prefer not to suggest a timetable for particular decisions.
