§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further action is proposed regarding research by the Loughborough Institute of Consumer Ergonomics into the question of aids for living in homes and hospital schools for mentally handicapped children.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisI regret that in view of the limitation on resources and of our assessment of the relative priority of the project we have not been able to provide a grant for further development of this research. The institute is, however, carrying out a three-year research programme, commissioned by the Department, into aids and equipment for the physically handicapped.
