asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, following the increase of VAT on petrol, if he will make proposals designed to assist those in rural areas who are entirely dependent on private transport to reach their employment.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has considered the situation of the rural motorist in areas that have no alternative transportation in the light of recent petrol price increases; and if he will consider preparing some form of relief.
