§ Mr. ArmstrongNo estimates are made for 31st March. In maintained nursery schools in England at January 1973 there were 14,223 full-time and 24,590 part-time pupils. In addition, there were 23,443 full-time and 48,234 part-time pupils attending nursery classes in maintained primary schools.
