§ Mr. Roderickasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will obtain the views of local authorities and local people in areas where car rallies are organised, in addition to the views of the Advisory Committee.
§ Mr. MulleyThe Advisory Committee on the Control of Motor Rallies, which is consulted on any revision of the control system, includes local authority representatives. In addition local authority associations are invariably consulted on any proposed amendments to the existing regulations. Individual consultations would be impracticable without disproportionate effort and cost.
