19. Mr. Peter Morrison

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is aware that many holidaymakers are, as a result of the present legislation, effectively disfranchised at a General Election; and if he will therefore consider introducing amendments to the present electoral law to remedy the situation.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will now introduce legislation to enable those who are able to submit evidence of a prior holiday booking on election polling days to obtain a postal or proxy vote.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will now introduce legislation to enable those on holiday on the date of a General Election to exercise their right to vote.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce a Bill to enable people who are on holiday on polling day to vote at General Elections.
