Mr. Emery

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total amount of underdeveloped land now held by local authorities; what was its original cost; and what interest has been incurred to date on borrowing for the purchase of that land, broken down into geographical areas, England and Wales, Scotland, and the eight regions of England.
