asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will ensure that the British herring quota is increased at the next negotiations even if this means reductions for other countries.

Mr. William Ross

At the negotiations to determine the 1975–76 North Sea herring quotas the United Kingdom will press for as large an allocation as possible based on historic performance in the past 10 years.
