Mr. Shersby

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) what was the total amount of glucose used in the manufacture of sugar confectionery, chocolate, soft drinks, bakery products, jams and preserves and ice cream in each of the past five years;

(2) what is the total amount of unmodified starch used in the manufacture of custard and blancmange powders, cakes, biscuits, cake mixes, doughs, packeted puddings and ice cream for each of the past five years;

(3) what was the total quantity of glucose syrup and solid dextrose produced in the United Kingdom in each of the past five years.
