§ Mr. John Evansasked the Secretary of State for Industry what discussions he has had with the trade unions and the employers' organisations about the forthcoming nationalisation of the shipbuilding, shiprepairing and marine engineering industries.
§ Mr. BennI have held a meeting with the employers' associations on the basis of the discussion paper I issued on 31st July, and they are continuing detailed discussions with officials in my Department. I have held a preliminary meeting with the trade unions, and hope to have a further meeting with them very shortly.
