Mr. Geraintasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will take steps to intervene so that the Meat and Livestock Commission Welsh Region is not amalgamated with the West Midland Region.
§ Mr. John MorrisThis proposal, which would involve the transfer to the Newtown-Welshpool area of work currently undertaken at Aberystwyth, is an internal organisational matter for which the Meat and Livestock Commission is entirely responsible. I will, however, write to the hon. Member on this matter.
