HC Deb 19 November 1974 vol 881 c373W
Mr. O'Halloran

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether she will consider waiving the date of December 1922 for claims submitted for ex-gratia awards to civilians injured as a result of air raids during the 1914–1918 war.

Mr. Alec Jones

As has already been explained to my hon. Friend in correspondence, I am afraid that it is not possible now to vary the closing date for applications, as the relevant machinery for considering claims was wound up at the end of 1922.
