HC Deb 18 November 1974 vol 881 c330W
Rev. Ian Paisley

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what assessment has been made of the number of children injured by vaccination in Northern Ireland; and if he will make proposals for compensation in such cases.

Mr. Moyle

It is regretted that information is not available to enable firm estimates of the number of children in Northern Ireland damaged by vaccination or immunisation to be made. Any consideration of a scheme of compensation for these children will be affected by the Report of the Royal Commission on civil liability and compensation for personal injury.
