§ 32. Mr. Percivalasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will reconsider the possibility of including Southport in the Merseyside development area, since manufacturing firms in Southport are finding it increasingly difficult to compete successfully with firms located in the development area and who therefore qualify for subsidised labour and development grants.
§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieI am not satisfied that any change in the boundaries of the Merseyside Special Development Area is justified at present.
