HC Deb 15 November 1974 vol 881 c253W
Mr. Tierney

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what sites have been proposed to him for the establishment of a West Midlands regional airport.

Mr. John Silkin

No proposals have been made to me about the establishment of a regional airport in the West Midlands. Suggestions are included in the Central England Airport Study which was carried out by consultants for the Civil Aviation Authority. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade expects to receive the authority's recommendation on that study early next year.
