§ Mr. John H. Osbornasked the Secretary of State for Energy what are the stocks of coal for industrial, electricity generation, and domestic purposes, respectively, and in total; and how these compare with those at the same time last year.
§ Mr. EadiePower station coal stocks for this year and previous years are published monthly by my Department at Table 8 of the statistical bulletin "Energy Trends" and by the Central Statistical Office at Table 60 of the "Monthly Digest of Statistics". Copies of these publications are available in the Library of the House. Figures for end-October will be published on 28th November 1974.
Figures for stocks of coal held by coal merchants and by industry have not been collected since March and September 1973 respectively.
