Member for Warley East may expect to receive a reply to his letter despatched some time ago in which he suggested that the Secretary of State should set up an inquiry into the development dangers facing the Criterion Theatre.
§ Mr. CroslandThe Westminster City Council is the local planning authority for the Piccadilly Circus area. It has recently resolved to grant conditional planning consent for the partial redevelopment of the Criterion site, subject to the views of the Greater London Council. I am actively considering whether, in the light of representations received, I should intervene and hold a public inquiry.
