§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the productive capacity of companies producing Fletton bricks in the United Kingdom; and at what percentage of total capacity they are now operating.
§ Mr. KaufmanThe productive capacity for Fletton bricks in Great Britain in 1973 was of the order of 3.000 million bricks a year. I understand from the London Brick Company that the effect of the cutbacks announced this year will be to reduce that production by about 40 per cent.
